Alternative Offroad Chevrolet Silverado 1500 Hood Mount Light Brackets

Want some lights for your truck, but don't want to add an aftermarket bumper, or can't quite figure out where to mount your lights? Here is your solution! These mounts fit right under the bracket of your hood. They will allow you to run your choice of light, we recommend lights no larger than 5" in diameter to allow for proper vision from the windshield.

I found these brackets by sheer coincidence when browsing facebook one day. Being that they are marketed for the Silverado and I drive an 07 Tahoe, I wasn't sure if they'd fit my truck. Well, the folks at AOR didn't know either, so we struck up a deal: they'd give me a set of the brackets for a discount if I test fit them and wrote a review. I'm happy to say that the hood mounts between the Tahoe and Silverado appear to be identical, so the AOR brackets mounted up great on my truck! I'm currently running a 30" light bar mounted to a Go Rhino push bumper, with a pair of 3x3 LED spotlights mounted to the hood brackets. I've waited to post this review for a couple of months just to see how the brackets hold up, and I'm pleased to say that the powdercoating is extremely stout. I have nothing but good things to say about the brackets. Also, the mounting holes are a perfect size for running a CB/2M antenna mount! I'm currently running a 3' Firestik with an extension bracket attached to the driver's side mount, and it's working great with low SWR readings. The antenna clears just fine with the hood open, too. Better than the light mounts I made

Bought these as they were more sturdy than the mounts I fab in my garage from supplies from the local box store. Also, due to my design my mounts had to be removed so I could get the windshield replaces. With these mount you do not have to worry about that and my lights no longer have a little bounce to them when blasting down a dirt road. They also will hold up going through a carwash and did not have to readjust the lights at all. Minor draw back was the black and white/ photocopied photos for the measurements for the cuts to reinstall the cowling. If those can be made to color or added as a document in the description sections would be great. Still giving 5 stars and there no other Chevy A pillar mount on the market. Great product.

Fits a 2007 Chevy Tahoe

Even though these brackets are made for off road lights, I simply drilled it to fit antennas for my co-phase CB setup. Works perfectly and very little modification beyond what the paper work provided recommends. Hood opens and closes with the antennas never touching the windshield.

Q: will the silverado hood mount fit my 2015 ?

Q: Will this hood mount work with 2015 silverado 1500 without any mods?

A: Hello, it will fit but you will have to cut a notch in the mount. It's very simple to do and requires a grinder, but they will not bolt right on due to small changes in the hood hinge. Thanks!
